Board posts multiple policy readings; adopts second-reading items including AI acceptable-use listing for review

At its March 17 meeting the Jefferson Township Board of Education approved a set of first and second readings for bylaws, policies and regulations and posted the documents on the district website for public review.
Among the second-reading items the agenda lists P 2365, "Acceptable Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI)," as a new policy. Other second-reading items include updates to residency eligibility (P 5111), high-school graduation requirements (P 5460), harassment/intimidation/bullying policy (P 5512) and electronic communications (P 5516). The policies are available on the district website for stakeholder review per agenda notes.
The motion to approve readings was moved by Mr. Stewart and seconded by Mrs. Small and passed on a roll-call vote with all present board members recorded as aye.
