The Borough Council, acting as the Redevelopment Agency, voted on Nov. 13 to endorse an application by Half Moon, a restaurant at 2 Beachway, for an addition that would expand the kitchen, improve an ADA-compliant bathroom entrance and potentially add a rooftop deck, according to meeting minutes.
Emiliano Graci, identified in the minutes as a principal of Half Moon, said structural modifications made before opening anticipated these improvements and that he hopes to submit the Planning Board application within six months. Borough engineer Robert Yuro told the council the plans show the deck will be closer to Beachway and that a side variance may also be required.
Council passed Resolution #24-135 endorsing the application and directing that a copy of the resolution be forwarded to the Zoning Officer and the Keansburg Planning Board of Adjustment. The resolution text specifies the Agency “expresses no specific conditions on this application.” The endorsement was approved by roll call as recorded in the minutes.
