Rowley MLP reports 39 residential solar hookups, construction progress and storm response

General Manager Matthew Brown gave the board an operations update noting 39 total residential solar systems on the MLP; one system is currently in the queue and one went online Feb. 9 when meters were read.
Brown also reviewed construction activity: with new wire energized on Kittery Ave the line crew began cutting over new transformers, and site work has started or progressed at Chase Bank, Harborlight Homes and The New England Asian Restaurant. He said the Line Manager is coordinating with Kirk on Harborlight Homes and the Chase Bank connection.
On storm response, Brown recapped how RMLP staff pre-staged crews and cleared snow at the building and substation during the February blizzard, and described specific outage calls: 239 Central Street (a large pine tree down taking service to the house), 67 Railroad Avenue (a tree on wires), two calls on Ellsworth Road (a branch and a large tree blowing a fuse), and 294 Central Street (a transformer fault resulting from the 239 Central Street event). "The town fared very well through the storm," Brown said.
Brown also told the board that all RMLP staff and commissioners have completed their 2026 conflict-of-interest requirements. The board took no formal action on these operational updates; they were presented for information.
