Resident presses council on SPCA contract and Jennifer Perkel is appointed to Planning Board

Woolley asked whether the borough could seek an amendment to the SPCA contract to address the issue; the minutes record the request but no formal action or response to amend the county contract was recorded at the meeting.
Jennifer Perkel, who had been nominated for appointment to the Keansburg Planning Board, addressed the council in follow-up and thanked members for the appointment. The council appointed Perkel as a Class IV member to fill an unexpired term through June 30, 2026; she also said she was pleased the council supported cottage bakers and that the borough would follow State guidelines regarding the cottage industry.
Council did not record a formal motion to change the county SPCA contract during the meeting; the public comment was filed in the minutes for council consideration.
