Jeff Roberts, director of zoning and development at the Cambridge Community Development Department, gave a brief update at the Jan. 7 Planning Board meeting on recent zoning actions and upcoming hearings.
Roberts said the City Council adopted a zoning amendment related to dormers and another zoning amendment related to flexible parking corridors in late December. He said the Planning Board previously gave a positive recommendation on the flexible parking corridors amendment.
Roberts also noted the multifamily zoning proposal remains under consideration at City Council. The Planning Board transmitted its report on the multifamily proposal the prior evening, and Roberts said ordinance‑committee meetings are scheduled for Jan. 8 (evening, with public comment) and Jan. 16 (afternoon) to continue reviewing amendments transmitted from the council.
Roberts said the Planning Board expects to return to case review on Feb. 11 and that there is an otherwise light schedule through early February.
