Borough Manager Joe C. told council that about 25–30 volunteers participated in a recent street tree planting and that the contractor for the Sharpier Park shelter has shortened the lead time and may begin demolition and installation in December; public works staff salvaged picnic tables and other items for reuse at other parks. Council discussed ensuring handicap-accessible tables and confirmed the new shelter design includes accessibility features.
The planning commission reported ongoing discussions on north‑end revitalization and traffic improvements, coordination with Collier Township, and a study of a sidewalk along Charters Street from Winfield to the park entrance to improve pedestrian access; planning also began preliminary discussions about small playgrounds for west-side lots. Parking authority members reported remaining lot lights have been received, additional fall landscaping is scheduled, and holiday free parking will be distributed to local businesses in early December.
