After presentation, Bridgeville votes to join regional municipal network Connect

Kelly, identified in the meeting as Connect’s director of public safety and well‑being, told the council that Connect provides "financial and consulting reports, multi‑municipal grant opportunities, professional consultations, networking and collaboration, education and representation" and emphasized that the organization is "by members for members." Eric Rob, the director of Connect’s infrastructure and resilience program, outlined Connect’s infrastructure and public‑works collaborations and said the group has helped bring roughly $3 million in infrastructure and resilience grants to member governments this year.
Council members asked whether Connect publishes agendas; Kelly said the organization holds monthly member meetings with topical programming and also schedules project‑specific meetings driven by member priorities. After the presentation, the council voted to approve joining Connect at an annual membership fee not to exceed $400.
Mayor Copeland said the membership would allow Bridgeville to access technical assistance and regional grant opportunities. The council directed administration to submit membership paperwork and the authorized payment.
Next steps: the borough will finalize membership paperwork and designate representatives to attend Connect meetings as appropriate.
