Moose Lake Parks Board approves fencing, storage agreement and campground receptacles

The Moose Lake Parks & Recreation Board approved several routine items during its June 1 meeting following a short discussion of open issues.
Administrator Ellissa Owens reported that First National Bank Arena’s annual gun show went well and that bank-sponsored customer-appreciation activities are planned. The board also noted delivery and assembly of new picnic tables at the campground and a staff observation that people had been filling several hundred-gallon tanks at a park spigot.
On new business, the board approved a fencing request from Rachelle Wasche for the Little League Field’s outfield; Owens had approved an updated quote of $2,500 after work approved in 2025 was not completed. The board also approved a hold-harmless agreement and certificate of insurance from the Home Run Club to store a piece of lawn equipment in the JC building; Keith Carlson moved to approve the agreement and Graydon Ohlin seconded. Finally, the board approved extra electrical receptacles at the campground to accommodate higher holiday traffic after staff and the cleaning service requested additions; Keith Carlson moved to accommodate Rasmussen’s request and Walter Lower III seconded. Votes were recorded on each motion.
These approvals are administrative and procedural in nature; the board did not commit additional recurring city funding for these items during the meeting. The board set its next meeting for July 6, 2026, and adjourned.
