Silver Creek Planning & Zoning opens meeting; chair reports county approval for Big Rigs project

The Silver Creek Township Planning & Zoning Commission convened Jan. 7, 2025. Chairman Chris Klein called the meeting to order; Member Mike Helman moved to approve the meeting agenda and Member Brandon Geyen seconded. The agenda approval was recorded as carried 9-0. Member Justin Hall moved to approve the Oct. 1, 2024 minutes; Member Tom Vanek seconded and that motion was recorded as carried 9-0.
In his chair report, Klein said the Big Rigs project “passed on the county level” and noted that the approved plans include a turnaround to be located at the first (west) Big Rigs entrance. The minutes list attendance as Chairman Chris Klein; Members Mark Egge, Justin Hall, Jesse Dickinson, Tom Vanek, Mike Helman, Brandon Geyen, Ryan Nelson and Andy Christensen; Clerk-Treasurer Alana Paumen; and six guests.
The meeting then moved to new business, including the Zeigler Custom Homes variance request and a pair of lot-line/entitlement motions for Darryle Anderson.
