The Merrimac Open Space Committee on Nov. 18 accepted the resignation of member Sean Wright and unanimously approved a motion to recommend Lynette Provencal to the Select Board for formal appointment.
Mary Ann Glennon, an Open Space Committee member, moved to approve the Sept. 18, 2025 minutes; Sue Simmons seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Later in the meeting Dawn Ackerman moved and Sue Simmons seconded a motion to recommend Lynette Provencal to the Select Board; the committee voted in support.
Committee members also addressed the town’s Open Space and Recreation Plan (OSRP). Lucy reported that the state has not yet named recipients of a grant tied to the plan. Because Sean Wright had been slated to serve on the OSRP Advisory Committee, Mary Ann Glennon volunteered to serve in his place; Sandra Venner moved, Sue Simmons seconded, and the committee approved naming Glennon as the committee’s OSRP representative.
The committee set its next meeting for Dec. 16 at 5:30 p.m. and adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
