At its Oct. 28 meeting the Merrimac Select Board voted on a slate of procedural and procurement items, approving contracts, service agreements and conditional hires.
The board unanimously approved a Catalis contract (transcript lists the vendor as 'Patrict Properties' and that spelling should be verified with contract documents) and authorized the chair to sign. A separate contract for the library's Toshiba equipment was approved 4-0 with Wayne Adams recorded as an abstention. The janitorial services cost summary was approved unanimously.
On personnel, the board approved conditional offer letters for two support positions: Sophia Heusser and Madison Fortier. The board also moved to sign certificates recognizing employee anniversaries.
Many of the motions were moved by Chairman Chris Manni or Board Member Robert L. Gustison II and carried without recorded opposition. The Select Board accepted the Oct. 20 meeting minutes and filed correspondence including a volunteer form for Connor Western referred to the Zoning Board of Appeals for formal recommendation.
Votes at a glance: all listed motions passed; Toshiba contract recorded one abstention by Wayne Adams. The board adjourned at 6:48 p.m.
The meeting record shows several items where the transcript spelling or vendor names should be verified against official documents before public reporting or contract implementation.
