Smithville Board votes unanimously to adjourn into executive session under Missouri statute

The Smithville Board of Aldermen on Aug. 19, 2025, voted unanimously to adjourn a special session into an executive session pursuant to Section 610.021(1&2) of the Revised Statutes of Missouri. Mayor Damien Boley called the meeting to order at 4:59 p.m. in City Hall Council Chambers.
Alderman Dan Hartman moved to adjourn to executive session under Section 610.021(1&2) RSMo; Alderman Kelly Kobylski seconded. A roll call produced six 'Aye' votes and no 'No' votes. The minutes record the motion as carrying and Mayor Boley declared the special session adjourned to the executive session at 5:00 p.m.
