Wetzel County Board elects Mrs. Mitchell president; Attenborough named vice president and retains 2nd/4th-Tuesday meeting schedule

The board also discussed and approved a regular meeting schedule — generally the second and fourth Tuesday of each month — with time set to begin at 5:30 p.m. Members worked through calendar conflicts (leadership training, graduations, holidays) and agreed to specific monthly dates and exceptions, including a budget work session at 9 a.m. on April 29 and an adjusted meeting schedule in July to accommodate the county’s training dates.
The motions to elect officers and adopt the schedule passed by voice vote; no roll-call tallies were recorded in the minutes for the leadership votes and schedule approval.
