Village recommends new grant-writer contract after 11 proposals; Choice Words favored

The recommended contract would include optional add-on grant-administration services (quoted at about $14,000) and an additional $15,000 fee for very large applications (over $2 million). Trustees noted the potential to increase grant revenue and staff said prior success included a single application securing $6.6 million; staff cautioned results vary and that the village should be strategic about which applications to pursue.
What happens next: staff will place the recommendation on the regular meeting agenda for final approval and, if approved, begin onboarding the selected vendor.
