The Moultonborough Conservation Commission on Jan. 5 approved payments from the Conservation Commission Fund and the operating budget to cover environmental consulting, a legal reimbursement, and water-quality monitoring.
Members approved FB Environmental invoices of $795 and $1,560.25 (totaling $2,355.25) to be paid from the Conservation Commission Fund. The motion to approve the invoices was made by Cynthia O’Connell and seconded by Sandra Kelly and was approved by the commission.
The commission also approved a legal fee reimbursement of $551.50 related to the 37-acre Shaker Jerry conserved property; the payment is to be made to Margaret Gavenonis from the Conservation Commission Fund. That motion was made by Steve King and seconded by Cynthia O’Connell.
Separately, the commission approved UNH Moultonborough water-quality monitoring: 30 tests and analysis at a cost of $624.00, to be paid from the town’s operating budget account 4586. The motion to authorize the monitoring was made by Anni Jakobsen and seconded by Steve King. Members said the monitoring will support ongoing cyanobacteria and watershed work.
The minutes report the Conservation Commission Fund balance at $74,448.50 and an MFCA balance of $20,543.78. The approvals were recorded as passing at the meeting.
