The Village Board on April 21 authorized the village administrator to execute a memorandum of agreement with CSEA Local 1000 covering seven village employees.
Village administrator Dacino said negotiations had been lengthy and that the MOA, which was ratified by CSEA membership, provides retroactive wage increases consistent with comparable county settlements and extends through May 31, 2029. He described contract housekeeping changes such as replacing outdated references to a filter plant that no longer exists and noted new employee vision benefits paid by employees and updated dental benefit handling.
"Mainly speaking, they involve retroactive wage increases for members of the unit, in line with comparable settlements throughout the county," Dacino said. The board moved and authorized the administrator to execute the agreement.
What happens next: The administrator will execute the MOA and the treasurer will implement payroll and benefit adjustments in accordance with the agreement; the MOA's fiscal impacts will be reflected in subsequent budget reporting and auditing processes.
