Oros Environmental, Inc. for lime residual collection and disposal from the city’s water treatment plant through Dec. 31, 2026, in the amount of $550,000; and acceptance of East‑West Gateway Council of Governments UASI grants for the Fire Department ($6,645 and $92,210). The council approved these items as part of its consent and contract agenda by roll call.
The council also amended and passed Bill 14083, reorganizing the Special Events and Communications Department to the Special Events and Promotions Department, and passed several ordinances related to the New Town at St. Charles regulating plan and neighborhood improvement district reimbursements. The minutes record unanimous "Aye" votes among members present on those measures; two councilmembers were listed as absent.
Council introduced Bill 14088, a proposed purchase of property at 2183 Muegge Road for up to $805,340 (purchase price $778,000; broker commission 3% = $23,340; closing costs not to exceed $4,000), and Bill 14089 (an agreement with St. Charles County relating to the Urban County Community Development Block Grant program) for future consideration.
Appointments and committee assignments were approved by roll call, and the meeting adjourned at 8:06 p.m.
