County okays senior-services rate increases and contract extensions tied to state allowance

Deanna Orlowsky, executive director of the Office of Senior Services, requested revisions and extensions across several provider contracts. Examples include an increase in the congregate and in-home meals rate from $4.88 to $5.10 per meal for Metz Culinary Management, with a contract cap of $746,640; an increased ombudsman contract cap for Mid Penn Legal Services to $128,525; and a suite of Diakon services with combined contract caps totaling $1,161,300. Personal care provider hourly rates (Caregivers America, Compass Rose Care Ltd, Watwo Inc., Maximum Care) were noted to increase from $24.41 to $25.51 effective July 1, 2026, with contract caps unchanged.
