The Goodhue County Board approved an addendum June 16 to the existing landowner agreement for the Wanamingo Demolition Debris Land Disposal Facility that permits the property owner, Glen Steberg, to split his parcel and place the landfill area in a separate limited liability company.
The change was presented by Land Use Management staff as a way to separate the landfill parcel from the owner’s house and farm and to create a new tax parcel. Staff recommended approval; Commissioner Greseth moved the addendum and Commissioner Majerus seconded. The motion carried 5-0.
The addendum allows a legal and tax‑parcel separation but does not alter the county’s obligations under the original landowner agreement. Staff did not report additional conditions or follow‑up tasks beyond recording the new tax parcel and processing standard administrative paperwork.
