The library's balance sheet lists $58,000 for carpet replacement; Dobski said that allocation will be submitted to and approved by the city council, not decided at this meeting.
Board members encouraged Dobski to get multiple quotes to understand the project's scale. Dobski said she has not yet drafted a request for proposals (RFP); the board asked her to proceed so it can compare bids. She will contact city staff to clarify whether the Department of Public Services should inspect the HVAC and roof and provide three-year lifespan information to inform capital planning.
No formal motion to authorize the carpet work or expend funds was recorded at the meeting. The board took procedural actions on the agenda and minutes but reserved final approvals tied to city-level budget action.
