She told the board the sign is categorized as a flat sign under the city’s code and “this complies with the flat sign regulations in section 20-4.3 I5 for a flat sign,” and recommended approval with any board comments.
Applicant Nicholas Florio told the board the new sign is slightly smaller than the existing sign and that the design met percentage-of-window and facade regulations after prior reviews: “About the same size, but a couple square feet smaller,” he said.
Chair moved to approve the application after opening and immediately closing public comment (no members of the public were present). A board member seconded the motion, and the board recorded a unanimous vote in favor. The chair thanked staff and the applicant, saying the sign “looks well done” and noting it appeared properly proportioned for the façade.
