Commission approves 2024 annual report after debate; final draft to be issued

Dr. Phillip Griffin moved to approve the report with recommended edits; Dr. Samuel Burgess seconded. The roll-call vote recorded 14 in favor, 2 opposed (Dr. Myra Kleinpeter and Ms. Meta Smith-Davis) and 2 abstentions (Ms. Rebecca DeLaSalle and Ms. Aimee Cloyd). The motion carried. Staff indicated a final draft will be issued to the commission before broader dissemination.
No statutory or budgetary actions were taken as part of the vote; commissioners directed staff to circulate the finalized document.
