Riverside Board approves meeting schedule, financial reports and tuition contracts

At its Nov. 13 meeting the Riverside Township Board of Education set its regular 2026 meeting schedule, approved financial reports and bills, and authorized tuition contracts with Edgewater Park, Mount Holly and Lindenwold for outplaced homeless students.
The Riverside Township Board of Education on Nov. 13, 2025 in the elementary cafeteria adopted its regular monthly meeting schedule for 2026 and carried a slate of routine fiscal actions, including approval of the Board Secretary's and Treasurer's reports and authorization to pay the Nov. 13 bills.
Board Secretary Robert O’Brien announced that adequate public notice of the meeting had been given. On a motion by D. Potts, seconded by S. Pinho, the board also set regular meetings for the second Thursday of each month beginning July 9, 2026, with a start time of 7:00 p.m. (and a latest convening time of 7:30 p.m. if a quorum is late). The motion passed unanimously.
The board approved transfers among budget line items permitted by the State Department of Education and accepted the October fire drill and security drill reports submitted by Marc Ballantyne, Fire Marshal, and Robert O’Brien, School Safety Specialist.
The board voted unanimously to approve tuition contracts for the 2025–26 school year: Edgewater Park School District at $16,671 for one elementary kindergarten homeless student; Mount Holly School District at $22,637 for one middle-school homeless student and $38,672 total ($19,336 each) for two elementary homeless students; and Lindenwold School District at $21,670 for one high-school homeless student.
The board also approved the 2026–27 preschool projected enrollment and operational plan and authorized Change Order #2 for the preschool facilities construction project, a $24,280 increase to furnish and install underground sprinkler piping and associated testing. All motions carried with recorded unanimous ayes.
