The Riverside Township Committee voted May 4 to approve a $93,690 change order for the Polk Street and North Fairview Street flood mitigation and drainage improvement project, increasing the contract with Garrett Paul Construction LLC to $468,439.50. Committee member Kimble moved the resolution and Committee member Horn seconded; the motion carried and the resolution was certified by Township Clerk Susan M. Dydek.
The resolution states Change Order #1 was needed to resolve a utility conflict between the proposed drainage work and a PSE&G gas main and a New Jersey American Water (NJAW) main. The Township Engineer authorized the change order in the amount of $93,690, bringing the total contract price to $468,439.50.
