The Rochelle Park Board of Education on June 17 approved a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Rochelle Park Education Association that covers the 2025–2026, 2026–2027 and 2027–2028 school years.
Superintendent Dr. Sue DeNobile said negotiations were “good, favorable,” and thanked staff and the union for moving the agreement forward quickly during her opening remarks. The board voted to adopt the MOA and the accompanying salary guides as part of the personnel resolutions at the meeting.
The MOA and salary guides were presented during the personnel portion of the agenda. Board minutes list the MOA approval under resolution P10 and P11; the motion carried on the roll call recorded for that block of personnel actions (P2A P2C–P10–P11) with 4 in favor, 0 opposed and 3 abstentions (DeFalco, Holz, Rainone noted in the minutes). The minutes do not itemize the specific economic terms in the MOA beyond reference to the salary guides; the documents were listed as presented to the board.
The superintendent framed the agreement as a product of productive negotiations and said the district will continue focusing on students and partnerships. No public commenters spoke on the MOA during the meeting.
The board’s next scheduled meeting is Aug. 26, 2025; the MOA will be reflected in contract documents kept on file with the board office.
