Weymouth Committee approves Belcoville community center design, passes budget transfer and $448,520.06 in vouchers

The Weymouth Township Committee on Nov. 5 voted to approve a community center design submitted by the firm mmpf for the Belcoville Community Center, passed a budget transfer (Resolution 98-2025) and authorized payment of vouchers totaling $448,520.06.

The committee approved the design by motion (Keiffenheim/Norton); the approval was recorded in the meeting as "All in Favor." The budget transfer, listed in the agenda as Resolution 98-2025, passed by roll call (Norton-yes; Keiffenheim-yes; Haeser-yes). The motion to approve vouchers in the amount of $448,520.06 passed on a Norton/Keiffenheim motion and accompanying roll call.

The roll call on the vouchers noted limited abstentions on specific voucher numbers: Norton was recorded as having abstained on voucher #0543; Deputy Mayor Peter Keiffenheim was recorded as abstaining on vouchers #0552 and #0537. Engineer Michael Fralinger Jr. reported on planned NJDOT resurfacing projects for Maple Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue, both likely scheduled for spring 2026, and on design work for the 2023–2024 ACIA CDBG project. Public Works Superintendent Ronald C. Carroll highlighted operational items for the department, including that a recently delivered truck lacked the light for the salt spreader and that a diesel pump has reached end of life and will likely need replacement at an estimated cost of about $2,000.

The committee was updated that Spacious Skies Campground has submitted a use-variance application that is currently under review for completeness. The meeting adjourned at 7:42 p.m.
