Solano County Sheriff's Office pins about 10 new hires and announces several promotions

The Solano County Sheriff's Office held a pinning ceremony to introduce new hires and highlight recent promotions. Sheriff Tom Ferraro and Under Sheriff Brad Duallen said the department has grown to nearly 600 employees and, since the last ceremony, the office added about 10 new hires and made roughly nine promotions.
New employees introduced included Brandon Blonda (legal procedures clerk), Sierra Holly (animal care specialist), Claudia Rios (legal procedures clerk), Sierra McCalman (sheriff security officer), Shamir Mir (correctional officer), Caleb Sandoval (correctional officer), Maria Hinojosa (correctional officer), Kimberly Hansen (public safety dispatcher), Stacy Fenn (emergency service coordinator 2) and Jeff King (deputy sheriff). Several promoted staff and long-tenured employees were also recognized. Family members and colleagues participated in pinning ceremonies and photo opportunities.
Under Sheriff Duallen explained the ceremony format, invited family members forward for pins and photos, and reminded attendees about the county animal shelter and local partnerships. The event proceeded to oath administration and additional years-of-service recognitions.
The ceremony closed with refreshments and further acknowledgments.
