The City of Montrose DDA approved its consent agenda, reviewed by-laws ahead of officer elections, discussed upcoming events and a potential community garden, and adopted a resolution appointing committee members at its Jan. 15 meeting.
The consent agenda — approval of Nov. 20, 2025 meeting minutes, receipt of a budget update, and approval of the 2026 meeting calendar — was moved by Deborah Gross, seconded by Mayor Tom Banks, and carried unanimously. The board moved to discuss the by-laws (Mayor Banks, second Jerry Mears); the minutes record clarifications about eligibility and that officer elections will occur in February, but no by-law amendments were adopted.
Mayor Banks moved (second Jerry Mears) to discuss a spring event and later to discuss a community garden; both motions carried but produced no final dates or property decisions. The board approved a resolution appointing committee members (motion by Mayor Banks, second Jerry Mears) and adjourned at 9:31 a.m. The next DDA meeting is scheduled for Feb. 19, 2026 at 7:30 a.m.
