The 187th District Court addressed revocation motions in several files and altered supervision terms for Rico Esteban Fernandez after he pleaded true to using marijuana while on supervision.
Fernandez, who appeared by Zoom, acknowledged recent marijuana use. The prosecutor and defense conferred and presented an agreement to continue supervision with enhanced treatment and monitoring: intensive outpatient treatment, the UA hotline for 30 days (weekly UAs to ensure testing), and weekly sober-support meetings. The court amended Fernandez’s conditions accordingly and ordered defendants to report to probation immediately after release from any transfer to Atcosa County.
The court emphasized the importance of probation reporting and warned that failure to comply with reporting or testing could lead to further enforcement. The court also instructed probation to coordinate treatment referrals and testing logistics.
The defendant expressed willingness to engage in outpatient classes and the court recorded the conditions on the docket.
