The Edgewater Community Redevelopment Agency on April 6 approved a medium-scale facade grant application for 105 and 107 South Ridgewood Avenue, authorizing reimbursement of 50% of project costs up to $13,755.
The agency’s director told the board that applicant Peter Costanza applied for a $27,055 project and provided three required quotes. “The applicant Peter Costanza has applied for a medium scale facade grant in the amount of $27,055,” the director said, noting Costanza will seek reimbursement within the program parameters and that required documentation was provided. The improvements described in the staff report include repainting the sides and rear of the building, installing eight awnings and installing a new shingle roof.
During the public-comment period the chair recorded one citizen comment related to the agenda item; the transcript did not capture substantive testimony from that commenter. A board member moved to approve Resolution 2026-CRA-02 and was seconded by Rain Bird. The board then conducted a roll-call vote; members recorded as voting yes were Chairman DePue, Miss Gillis, Mister Thomas, Miss Dolbo and Mister Rainbird, and the motion carried unanimously.
The resolution authorizes the grant award under the CRA’s medium-scale facade program and directs staff to process reimbursement claims consistent with the program rules. The staff report indicated the applicant supplied the three required quotes; the record did not show any motion to amend the scope or funding of the grant.
