At its Dec. 18 special meeting the Danbury City Environmental Impact Commission took a series of procedural and decision items after hearing multiple project presentations.

Approvals - Regulated activity 1227 (Brushy Hill Road): Commissioners approved the application with seven staff/health‑department conditions after staff reported that prior inspection items had been addressed and a planting plan was added. The motion passed with ayes recorded. - Regulated activity 1230 (town of New Fairfield, Route 37 sewer work): Staff summarized proposed roadway sewer work within the roadway and recommended approval with five conditions to support the town’s funding process; the commission approved the recommendation with ayes recorded. - Supplemental staff report (EIC 1152 amendments): Commissioners approved the supplemental staff report and amendments as presented.
Tablings and referrals Commissioners tabled multiple regulated activities for additional materials, including 11:06/1106 items, 12282 (Great Pasture Road), 1229/161–162 Deerhill Avenue, 123118 (Christopher Columbus Avenue) and 123216 (Sage Road geothermal). The items were tabled by motion with ayes recorded; in each case staff requested or the applicant agreed to supply additional documentation.
Violations and remediation Staff updated the commission on a long‑running violation and a draft stipulation agreement that requires removal of surface debris and a subsequent application by the violator to establish a compost area; commissioners reviewed the settlement and asked to see final signed documents and fee allocations before final acceptance.
Elections and adjournment The commission held officer elections: Matt Rose was nominated and elected chair, Mark (recorded as Sackett) was nominated and elected vice chair, and Jeff (recorded variably in the transcript as Herold/Harrell) accepted nomination for secretary.
