The Salem County vocational technical board (SCVTS) and the Salem County Special Services School District (SCSSSD) approved multiple routine business items during a joint meeting on Dec. 16, 2025, including personnel actions, program agreements and financial certifications.
The board opened at 7:04 p.m. and approved the minutes of the Oct. 14, 2025 meeting on a motion by Daryl Halter, seconded by Patty Bomba; the motion carried with Halter, Earl Ransome and Bomba voting yea and James Davis recorded as abstaining. The board approved a package of New Business items (D.1–D.6) that included Curriculum In Action experiences, facility-use requests, acceptance of natural gas bid results, adoption of the New Jersey minimum wage for 2026 and acceptance of safety awards from the GCSSD JIF. The New Business package passed on a roll-call vote (motion by Daryl Halter, second by James Davis; yeas: Halter, Ransome, Davis, Bomba).
Among contracts approved was an agreement with Concentra Medical Compliance Administration for mandatory drug testing of school bus drivers employed by the district, listed in the agenda as item D.6.
