Staff: Coyote Ridge bids within budget; Monument roundabout bidding and community center progressing

Marcus Graves, the city’s parks and recreation and open space director, told the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board that the Coyote Ridge construction bid closed with nine vendors and that all submissions were within the project budget; staff are evaluating bids and will bring a vendor recommendation to City Council in July. "We had 9 vendors bid on the project. All 9 are within our budget," Graves said.
Graves also reported that the Monument roundabout project is currently out to bid and staff will hold a virtual pre-construction Q&A for prospective contractors. He said the work will be phased — monument construction first, landscaping second — to avoid repeated utility conflicts; awards are expected about 10 days after council action and construction could start roughly in August.
On the community center, Graves said finishing work is progressing: drywall and tile work are being completed, fixtures and furniture are scheduled for delivery, and staff hopes to conduct a punch-list and prepare the facility for use in the first week of July. The facility will host meetings for the metro district and be available for community rentals once complete.
Graves said staff will continue to involve the board in recommendations tied to signage and park implementation as bidding and construction progress.
