The Missouri Valley City Council unanimously adopted Resolution No. 26-23 on June 29, 2026, approving FY2026 Budget Amendment #2 to address several unanticipated infrastructure and financing costs.
Council Member Struble moved to adopt the resolution; Council Member Tuttle seconded. The roll call vote — Council Members Tuttle, Keizer, Struble, Meadows and Gilpin — was recorded as all ayes.
According to the City Administrator’s explanation to the council, the amendment increases appropriations for Culture and Recreation to fund unanticipated swimming pool repairs and maintenance. The measure also increases Debt Service by $15,000 to account for interim financing interest that had been omitted from the original budget and increases Enterprise Operations by $70,000 to address ongoing force-main and utility infrastructure repairs. The minutes state revenue estimates remained substantially unchanged.
The council did not record any public comments during the hearing on the amendment; the public hearing opened at 6:01 p.m. and closed at 6:02 p.m. The amendment was adopted by unanimous vote, and the council proceeded to other agenda items.
The resolution is filed as Resolution No. 26-23 in the city minutes. The council did not specify additional implementation steps or the department assignments for the new appropriations in the minutes.
