Kinder seeks bids for Clearance Project as wastewater work closes out

Kinder — At the Feb. 2 town council meeting, city engineer Rhett Deselle of Pan American Engineers briefed the council on infrastructure work, saying the wastewater treatment plant project is being closed out and providing an update on Nixon Addition drainage.
Deselle said the town began advertising the Clearance Project with legal notices scheduled for Feb. 5, Feb. 12 and Feb. 19, and that the bid opening is set for March 4 at 10 a.m. at Pan American Engineers’ office, 1717 Jackson St., Alexandria (71306). He told the council the advertisement lists 11 asbestos structures and five properties to be demolished as part of the Clearance Project.
The council took no formal vote on the engineer’s report; bid responses will be opened on March 4 and returned to the engineer and appropriate staff for review.
