Dina Sverbakis, a professional engineer with Artel Engineering Group, presented the application and told the commission staff had prepared a project-determination report. "We read through the report, through the conditions, recommendation for approval, and we concur with all the conditions," Sverbakis said, listing changes incorporated into the plan such as hay bales behind an erosion-control fence, preservation of an existing lake-front buffer and a 1-foot stacked wall on the southerly property line to assist grading.
The commission moved to accept the conditions and voted in favor. The chair called for the motion, it was seconded and commissioners voted "aye." The approved measures will be conditions of permit issuance.
Commission discussion was brief; no opposing votes were recorded in the meeting transcript. The approval clears the applicant to proceed subject to the eight conditions noted by staff.
The commission moved on to other agenda items after the vote.
