The Edgewater Community Redevelopment Agency board voted unanimously to adopt a preliminary CRA budget of $1,922,742 for fiscal year 2024–2025.
The department director presented the proposed budget, saying, "The proposed City Of Edgewater millage rate is 6.33 mills and the proposed Volusia County millage rate is 3.2007 mills. The anticipated revenue, total proposed is $1,922,742. Of that $1,353,365 is being brought forward from prior year." The director identified planned uses including an affordable housing project, capital projects, façade grants and Park Avenue improvements such as land acquisition, streetscape work, underground utilities and wayfinding.
After the presentation the Mayor called for citizens' comments and council comments; none were recorded. A motion to approve the report was made and seconded on the record; the minutes did not name the mover and seconder. A roll-call vote recorded Chairman DePue, Miss Gillis, Miss Bennington and Miss Dolbo each voting "Yes," and the resolution was approved.
The board had no additional items under the department director's report. The Mayor then adjourned the meeting.
The action adopted on the record was described as "resolution 20 24, CRA-one adopting preliminary proposed CRA budget for the fiscal year 20 24 to 20 25" in the meeting materials; the board approved the resolution as presented.
