Architect Mike Ventura said the tile is consistent with the tenant’s corporate branding and that the vertical red band will separate the tile from adjoining finishes.
Board members welcomed the commercial investment and the potential to increase foot traffic. One member asked for a change of plane or a projecting element where the tile meets adjacent stucco so the materials read as distinct elements rather than a single flat plane. Ms. Rebecca Cruz said she was “super excited to have this addition for our South Miami community” and the board moved and approved the project with comments to provide a more resolved transition detail between materials.
