South Miami unveils redesigned city website with resident portal and business directory

New features include a resident-facing MySomi portal for service requests and online payments, an interactive business directory called "Shop Somi," department video content (beginning with Public Works/Engineering) and an employee portal. The presentation included a short video preview of the Public Works segment.
Commissioners praised the design, responsiveness and user interface, and asked follow-up questions about search-engine optimization and how department content will be produced and published. Brandon Diaz said department videos and additional content will be developed over time and encouraged commissioners to follow up with questions offline.
Next steps: Communications staff will proceed with content migration and a phased rollout of department pages and videos.
