DRC recommends approval of Heatherwood Lot 23 replat to county commissioners

Staff presented a replat application to adjust setbacks for Heatherwood Subdivision Lot 23 at 3815 Northwest 57th Terrace, a 0.2-acre parcel in a low-density residential future land use/R1B zoning district. Staff described the request as a replat to allow a 10-foot street/front setback (current range cited as 20–25 feet) to permit a porch on the existing home and said the replat would make the lot consistent with the current zoning district and comprehensive plan.
Leslie McClendon of Alachua County Growth Management recommended that the DRC recommend approval of the Heatherwood Lot 23 replat to the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners. No applicant comments or public comments were made at the DRC hearing. A committee member moved to recommend approval and another committee member seconded. The committee approved the recommendation by voice vote. Staff noted the Board of County Commissioners would consider the item on Oct. 22 at 11:30 a.m.
The DRC’s action was a recommendation to the Board; final approval, including any conditions or modifications, will be determined by the Board of County Commissioners.
