Planning commission issues positive referrals for four sewer and water extensions

At its April 15 meeting the Danbury Planning Commission voted positive referrals on four City Council 8-24 items related to sewer and water main extensions. Planning staff summarized each referral as largely routine and familiar to the commission.
The referrals included: an extension to accommodate 12 additional units on Damien Drive (positive referral); a municipal sewer extension for a single-family dwelling at 48 East Gate Road (positive referral, subject to staff conditions); a sewer extension to serve the Danbury Proton facility on Worcester Heights Road (positive referral); and a renewal of sewer and water extension approvals for Great Plain Road and Great Meadow Road, with staff reiterating the approval contains a restriction for no more than 63 single-family dwelling units.
Commissioners moved and seconded the positive referrals and recorded them as approved by voice votes. Staff advised that these renewals and extensions are consistent with prior approvals and that substantial departures would require further review.
