DRC recommends Reserve at Millhopper replat to County Commission
Summary
The Development Review Committee recommended approval of a replat for Reserve at Millhopper (three lots totaling about 4.5 acres) to the Alachua County Board of County Commissioners; the board will consider the replat on Aug. 13 at 11:30 a.m.
The Alachua County Development Review Committee on July 18 recommended that the Board of County Commissioners approve a replat for Reserve at Millhopper that would amend the sizes of Lots 1, 2 and 3 within an existing subdivision near Millhopper Road.
Planner Jacob Stout told the committee the three parcels total roughly 4.5 acres and that the replat would not increase overall density; the amended lot sizes were described as approximately 1.8 acres, 1.3 acres and 1.3 acres respectively, and staff found the proposal consistent with the comprehensive plan and Unified Land Development Code.
With no applicant presenting and no public comment, a committee member moved to recommend approval and another seconded; the committee voted by voice and the motion passed. Stout said the replat will be considered by the Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 13 at 11:30 a.m.
The committee’s recommendation is advisory; final approval rests with the Board of County Commissioners. The DRC’s findings and staff report will be included in the record forwarded to the board.
