The Newaygo City Council approved the consent agenda on Dec. 9, which included the Nov. 11, 2024 meeting minutes, a set of accounts payable disbursements (listed in the packet as $12,516.06; $43,188.69; $18,365.38; $62,755.42; $27,062.09; $11,510.57; $181.25) and multiple resolutions reappointing and appointing members to boards and commissions.
Resolutions approved on the consent agenda included: Resolution 2024-42 (regular 2025 meeting dates), 2024-44 (reappointments to the Planning Commission), 2024-45 (TIFA/LDFA appointments), 2024-46 (PSD Board), 2024-47 (NEDO Board), 2024-48 (Newaygo Area District Library Board), 2024-49 (Building Authority Board reappointment of Jon Schneider), 2024-50 (City Election Commission) and 2024-51 (Board of Review reappointments). Council later approved Resolution 2024-52, establishing compensation for appointed city board and commission members.
Council also approved a permit for the Marshall Run event on Aug. 30, 2025. All consent‑agenda items and the event permit were approved by the votes recorded in the minutes.
