Commission approves Greybull Airport fuel-pit task order; FBO request for proposals forthcoming

Paul Thur, who presented Airports and Land Planning items, told the commission the airport board approved a task order and associated engineering fees of $83,000 for relocating the Greybull Airport fuel pit. Thur said the county match for the project is "just under $14,000." Commissioner Bruce Jolley moved to approve the task order; the motion was seconded and carried.
Thur also said the county will issue a request for proposals for FBO (fixed-base operator) services at the Greybull Airport and that county airport minimum standards and engineering services proposals will be presented for approval at the June 16 meeting. Thur reported that plane removals from the Greybull Airport boneyard have resumed.
On an operational note Thur attributed a recent fuel outage at Cowley to a malfunction in the site's Veedroot system and said the issue has been corrected. The commission recognized the county's use of a public surplus program, noting praise from the Wyoming County Commissioners Association.
