At its Sept. 10, 2025 meeting the Douglas Library Board moved and accepted a retirement celebration for Norma to be held Nov. 9 from 2:00 to 4:00, with assistance and a gift from the Friends Group. The minutes record that Norma’s retirement from the position of Library Director is official on Nov. 1.
The July 2025 minutes were accepted as read at the opening of the meeting.
The meeting minutes both list "Laura Moran, Library Director" in the attendance line and are signed "Respectfully submitted, Laura Moran Library Director," while separately noting that Norma will retire from the position of Library Director effective Nov. 1. That inconsistency appeared in the minutes and was not clarified at the meeting.
