EIC approves Flint Ridge Road landscaping, stabilization plan with conditions

At its March 12 meeting the Environmental Impact Commission approved regulated activity 12359 for a property on Flint Ridge Road following presentation by applicant Eva Fadera and staff recommendations.

Fadera said she submitted a landscape-architect plan showing slope stabilization in both areas of proposed galleries, replacement of existing groundcover on the right side, additional ferns on the lower gallery area, and a row of 12–18 boulders dug into the slope to retain soil. She said she had an open permit with the health department to address prior erosion concerns and that her hired engineer provided a rip-rap plan to tie drainage into driveway drainage features.

A commissioner moved to approve EIC number 1235 with the ten conditions of approval described in the staff report; the motion was seconded and passed by voice vote. Staff will record the conditions on the file and ensure the applicant supplies the finalized planting and drainage plans that were added to the application.

Next steps: staff to file approval conditions and monitor specified elements (planting plan, slope stabilization and drainage) during permit review and any subsequent inspections.
