The Board of Trustees of the Village of Port Washington North on Feb. 13 voted to refer the Site Plan and Steep Slope applications submitted by New Oasis Development LLC for a parcel designated on the Nassau County Land and Tax Map as Section 4, Block 28, Lot 82 to the village Planning Board for determination.
Trustee Matthew Kepke moved the referral, Trustee Michael Malatino seconded, and the resolution cited Section 137-2.C of the Village Code as the authority for coordinated review. Trustee Steven Cohen recused from the vote; Trustees Kepke and Malatino and Mayor Robert Weitzner voted in favor.
The referral transfers responsibility for detailed review of the site plan and any steep-slope issues to the Planning Board; the minutes record no further debate or conditions attached to the referral. The board recorded the recusal in the minutes and directed that the application proceed to the Planning Board.
Next steps: the Planning Board will determine the application; the clerk's office will forward the referral and relevant application materials.
