Port Washington North trustees approve 2024 assessment roll, extend contracts and set March 19 village election

The Board of Trustees of the Village of Port Washington North on Feb. 13 accepted the village's tentative Assessment Roll for 2024, set a legal notice for the March 19 General Village Election and approved a series of routine reports, procurements and contract actions.
Clerk Palma Torrisi reported the assessor's roll was filed with the Village Clerk on Jan. 30, 2024. Acting as the Board of Assessors, the trustees voted to accept the roll and directed a legal notice that the roll may be examined at Village Hall during business hours through Feb. 20, 2024.
Also on the consent agenda the board, on motions that passed unanimously, waived the reading and approved minutes from Dec. 12 and Dec. 20, 2023; approved the General Fund Abstract of Vouchers #266 totaling $55,122.39 and Trust & Agency Abstract #196 totaling $3,369.65 as prepared by Treasurer Bella; and acknowledged that Trustee Scheff had reviewed the December 2023 bank reconciliations.
The board accepted multiple departmental reports. It accepted the Public Works report for January and authorized the purchase of seven bollard lights with replaceable bulbs for Bay Walk Park for a cost not to exceed $11,000, approving a $2,500 deposit. The Building Department, Traffic Safety & Emergency Management, Communications Commission and Justice Court reports were also accepted as submitted.
The board exercised its option to extend the contract for Concrete Repair and Replacement with Stasi Brothers Asphalt Inc. for the period May 1, 2024 through April 31, 2025, as written in the minutes, and engaged H2M Architects + Engineers to prepare boundary and topographic mapping for 4 Channel Drive at a cost not to exceed $21,100.
