On Nov. 19 the City Council of Arapahoe voted 4-0 to approve a Master Agreement for Professional Services with Olsson, Inc. and to appoint Jess Hulbert as the city’s Street Superintendent/Engineer for 2025.
The agreement, included in the council packet, sets general terms and Olsson’s standard provisions for future projects and indicates that Olsson will provide services under separate, signed work orders that specify project location, schedule, scope and compensation. The packet included two draft work orders for upcoming consulting services and the street superintendent role; the agreement states Olsson will not commence work without the client’s prior written approval of each work order.
Councilman tenBensel moved to approve the contract and the appointment; Councilman Middagh seconded. The roll call vote recorded ayes from tenBensel, Polston, Middagh and Kreutzer; Carpenter and Paulsen were absent. The council recorded the motion as approval of both the Olsson contract for engineering/street-superintendent services and the appointment of Jess Hulbert to that 2025 position.
The mayoral signature line in the packet is dated Nov. 20, 2024. The agreement requires the city and Olsson to execute separate work orders before specific services and compensation take effect.
