The Warrenton Board of Aldermen voted 4–1, with one absence, to adopt Bill 58-25, amending Appendix A of Chapter 405 of the municipal code to restore prior provisions pertaining to manufactured and mobile home parks and to remove mobile home parks from the AG zoning district.
Director of Planning and Development Tim Burks told the board the language being returned had been inadvertently removed during a previous code change and that Planning & Zoning recommended the change. Burks said the P&Z commission approved the item 7–1 with two members absent.
Council members discussed potential development impacts if mobile home parks are limited to R-3 zoning rather than remaining allowed in AG. Several members asked for a workshop to consider related topics, including whether portable tiny homes should be defined and addressed alongside manufactured and mobile home parks.
On the roll-call vote the motion carried 4–1 (one recorded 'No' and one absent). Chair said the board may amend the ordinance later after a workshop if desired.
The change restores code language and changes which zoning districts allow mobile home parks; the record indicates the board expects staff to schedule a workshop to examine tiny-home and accessory definitions before pursuing further code changes.
